Visiting Artist at Scripps College in Claremont California
October 23-27, Ysmael will be a teaching and performning at Scripps College in Claremont California. On Thursday, October 24 at 7:30pm, Ysmael will be performing a recital at Boone Recital Hall, with works by Paul Desenne, Andres Barrios, Isang Yun, Toru Takemitsu, Shulamit Ran and Luigi Cortese. On Saturday 26 at 7:30 and Sunday 27 at 2:00, Ysmael will be performing the world premiere of In the Form of a Shell, for flute and orchestra by composer Pablo Chin with the Claremont Concert Orchestra and David Cubek conducting.

New commission and world premiere with the Claremont Concert Orchestra 
Ysmael will be the featured soloist of a newly commissioned work for flute and orchestra by Chicago-based Costa Rican composer Pablo Chin. The work will be premiered with the Claremont Concert Orchestra, under the baton of David Cubek, in Claremont, CA, on October 26-27, 2013.

Ysmael Reyes will be performing at the National Flute Association’s Convention in New Orleans, August 2013
Ysmael has been invited to perform at the NFA convention in New Orleans. Ysmael will be a featured soloist with the National Flute Orchestra of Venezuela, presenting the U.S. premiere of Andrés Rodríguez’s Concerto for Two Flutes and Flute Ensemble with Alexis Angulo, principal flute of the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra on Friday August 9th.

On Sunday, August 11th, Ysmael will perform a recital for flute and piano with music by Venezuelan composers Paul Desenne, Raimundo Pineda and Juan Francisco Sans.

Solo Concerto with the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra
Ysmael Reyes will be performing as a soloist in Aram Khachaturian’s Flute Concerto with the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra, conducted by William Intrilligator on January 28st, 2012.

Guest Artist at the Flautas Gerais Festival in Sao Joao del-Rei, Brasil.
Ysmael Reyes will be performing and teaching master classes from November 10th to 13th.  On Friday, November 11th, Ysmael will perfrom a recital with works by Gabriel Faure, Raimundo Pineda, Isang Yun, Franz Doppler and Heraclio Fernandez. On Saturday, November 12th, he will perform Antonio Vivaldi’s Concerto in G minor Op. 10, No. 2, “La Notte” with the Society of Symphonic Concerts Orchestra of Sao Joao del-Rei.
